界外理教

Tiantai's [lang id =1028]圓教 the school of the complete Buddha-teaching, i. e. that of Tiantai, which concerns itself with the (sa) śūnya doctrines of the infinite, beyond the realms of reincarnation, and the development of the bodhisattva in those realms.

指天台宗所說的圓教。 圓教的菩薩迷理較輕， 故不假借分別事物的方便， 而直談一切萬法為中道實相的妙理， 謂之界外理教。
